The project “EAGLE: Training of Trainers: Supporting Adult Educators in Applying the Principles of Andragogy through the Use of Game-Based Simulation Learning” (No.: 2023-1-BG01-KA220-ADU-000160099) is led by ISSI and will be implemented in collaboration with five organizations: FBO (Bulgaria); SMARTUP NB SYSTEMATIC MANAGEMENT SL (Spain); INSTITOUTO TECHNOLOGIAS (Greece); Euroopas (Estonia); and ALL DIGITAL AISBL (Belgium). The project officially begins on December 1, 2023, and has a duration of two years. The project is funded by ERASMUS+.
The main objective of the project is to create an educational methodology for adult educators, based on which educators will be able to create game-based simulation educational content to support and encourage students in the active learning process and the achievement of their own learning goals. During the two-year implementation of the EAGLE project, the following will be developed collaboratively:
A multilingual and multifunctional project website in English, Bulgarian, Greek, Estonian, and French.
EAGLE Training Modules: an in-depth training program incorporating andragogy principles into new and existing adult learning opportunities, designed to help educators innovate in adult learning, covering three main topics: “Green Skills and Sustainability,” “Employee Rights in Remote Work,” and “Digital Skills for Adult Educators.”
EAGLE Educational Scenarios: a methodological guide for incorporating game-based learning into educational offerings and learning opportunities, including a documented guide for implementing game-based learning methodologies, as well as six game-based learning scenarios developed based on key project themes, incorporating andragogy principles into learning and education through games.
EAGLE 3D Platform: A state-of-the-art, customized 3D virtual learning environment that incorporates the 3D virtual world learning capabilities developed within the project, allowing educators and students to familiarize themselves with the developed training modules and test their knowledge through the project’s game-based learning scenarios, enhancing educators’ ability to deliver and incorporate game-based learning methodologies and andragogy into their curricula.
A manual for the 3D Platform, containing methodological guidelines for implementing the 3D Platform, as well as all of the project’s educational opportunities, in adult education and training programs. Additionally, the project will involve 120 adult educators who will test the platform and its products with the goal of improving them.
Dissemination and multiplication events, including a final project conference in Brussels, will ensure the popularization of the methodologies and educational opportunities developed within the project and a high degree of project sustainability.
